Waxing Exterior surfaces are washed when necessary in preparation for the application of one coat of premium paste wax designed to seal the
gel coat leaving it protected from future oxidation for about one year. For ultimate protection, we prefer to use paste waxes like Collinite Fleet Wax #885 or 3M Ultra Performance Paste Wax, both of which have proven to seal and shield against environmental acids and provide excellent UV protection. These waxes are applied by hand and buffed using clean, soft, cotton cloths. For areas less exposed to weather, a premium liquid wax may be used.
